Patient vaccinations

How are patients invited for a vaccination?

There a number of ways that local people will receive an invitation for their vaccine.

All patients regardless of which GP Practice they are registered with will receive an invitation when the NHS has a vaccine for them, inviting them to book at a Large Vaccination Centre which is either Stoneleigh Park near Kenilworth or Millennium Point in Birmingham. Please note that this is a choice, and you can wait to be called by a vaccination centre closer to home.

Patients who are registered with Red Roofs Surgery, Queens Road Surgery, Chapel End Surgery, Manor Court Surgery, Stockingford Medical Centre, Whitestone Surgery, Bedworth Health Centre, Bulkington Surgery, Woodlands Surgery, Rugby Road Surgery, The Old Cole House Surgery will be contacted by the Bedworth Civic Hall Vaccination Centre.

Patient’s not registered as a patient with any of the above surgeries, will be contacted by their GP Practice.

We understand a lot of people want to be vaccinated and would like to reassure you this will happen. Please be patient and wait to be contacted. We are asking people not to contact the NHS to get an appointment until they are asked to do so. For further information on why you are being asked to wait for your Covid-19 vaccine, please read the information on the GOV.UK website or this leaflet.

How do the NHS know who to vaccinate?

The JCVI set criteria on an ongoing basis for who should get the vaccine when. GPs and vaccination centres will be able to call in or go out to patients based on this, using their patient records. A national invite and recall system, drawn from GP patient records, may also be used.
