NHS England has rated NHS Coventry and Rugby CCG and NHS Warwickshire North CCG as “Good” Posted on 12 Jul 2019

Both NHS Coventry and Rugby CCG and NHS Warwickshire North CCG have been awarded a “Good” rating by NHS England as part of the annual Improvement and Assessment Framework.

The framework is designed to assess each CCG’s ability to improve health and care outcomes for their local population, improve service performance, as well as meet the ambitions for quality of leadership and finance. This is the second year in a row in which NHS Coventry and Rugby CCG has achieved a “Good” rating, following being placed into financial special measures in 2016.  NHS Warwickshire North also achieved “Good”, and demonstrated further improvement on last year.

2018/19 has also seen both CCGs awarded “Outstanding” for demonstrating how they have met their legal duty to involve patients and the public in the commissioning of health and care services, including how the CCG advances equality and reduces health inequalities for the local population.

Andrea Green the Accountable Officer for both CCGs said “this is fabulous news, I am delighted that we have been able to realise these improvements for people living in north Warwickshire, Coventry and Rugby. This improvement is down to the dedication of my staff, our local GP Members and the partners in local authorities, health providers, the voluntary sector and of course down to those people who have spent time telling us their views on what improvements they want to see”.
