Choose the right service this Easter Posted on 9 Apr 2019

The Easter holidays are almost upon us and whilst we hope to be enjoying time with family and friends, NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups in Coventry and Warwickshire are reminding families of the health services available, should anyone become unwell.

Many minor health conditions such as coughs, colds and stomach upsets can be managed safely at home, but if you or your child need medical attention or advice over the Easter break there are a range of services available including local pharmacies, GPs, NHS 111 and

Many pharmacies are open over the Easter bank holiday period. To find your nearest local pharmacy and its opening hours over the bank holidays click here.

A spokesperson from NHS Warwickshire North Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “We would like everyone to enjoy a few days with loved ones over the Easter holidays, but if someone does fall ill or need medical advice or treatment, there are services there to support them.

“Many pharmacies are open on Bank Holidays and pharmacists are able to give advice on many minor illnesses and injuries, as well as provide medication. I’d also encourage people to call 111, the free NHS helpline if you are unwell and need advice and attention but don’t know where to go. 111 is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is free from landlines and mobiles.” is a great source of information on a number of conditions and can provide guidance and advice, including advice on when to seek medical treatment. There is also a dedicated Children’s Health page, which contains useful advice, information and answers to frequently asked questions about common childhood illness such as fever.
